What public records show for food service in Elsmore
Past emergency
FEMA's 2024 declaration for Allen County
FEMA declared major disaster DR-4800, severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding, on July 15, 2024 for Allen County, which includes Elsmore, for an incident that began April 25, 2024. It is one of 8 major disaster declarations covering Allen County since 2000. Storms like this cut power and water and close roads, which takes kitchens and walk-in coolers offline. A refrigerated trailer can save the stock in a failed walk-in first, and a kitchen trailer can follow if the building in Elsmore stays closed.
Major construction
Public works repair in Allen County
FEMA's Public Assistance program funded "Allen County Completed Work (Gravel Roads)" (roads and bridges, about $292,000) in Allen County after DR-4800, a severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding declared July 15, 2024; FEMA lists the project as eligible. Projects of this size change how a tractor-trailer reaches sites in and around Elsmore, so the delivery plan starts with the current road conditions. A crew camp on a long repair job can use a mobile kitchen trailer for its meals.
Major renovation
Kitchen renovations in Elsmore
Remodeling a commercial kitchen in Elsmore does not have to stop meal service: a kitchen trailer and a refrigerated trailer can run beside the building for the length of the job.
Emergency equipment access
Getting equipment to Elsmore
Kansas is in FEMA Region 7, which coordinates federal disaster support with the state's emergency management agency; locally, Allen County emergency management leads response. Those public operations are separate from our rental deliveries. Projects in Kansas are outside our Virginia lead market and are quoted case by case, with delivery distance and timing set out in the quote. Equipment for Elsmore would travel I-70 and local routes, as it would for nearby Savonburg and Stark. We confirm the route and site access with you before dispatch.

Emergency plan: a hotel and conference center kitchen in Elsmore
A worked example of how we would plan temporary food service here, using Elsmore's own public records and our current price list. It describes what a facility like this could do, not a job we have done.
1. Situation
Suppose a hotel and conference center kitchen in Elsmore loses power for several days in an event like the one behind FEMA's DR-4800 (severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding, declared July 15, 2024). Meals still have to go out while the kitchen is cleaned, inspected, and repaired.2. Trailer setup
A 24ft Mobile Kitchen, and 12ft Refrigerated Trailer (Tier 1-4), parked near the loading dock, where staff can move food between the trailers and the serving line.3. Site and delivery
Equipment would travel the I-70 corridor, with the final route and gate access confirmed with the facility before dispatch. On arrival, the refrigerated unit is cold-ready in about an hour, and the kitchen trailer takes about 5 hours to connect and start up.4. Timeline
Day 1: call the 24/7 line and send photos of the placement area. Next: delivery and setup once placement is confirmed. Then: cooking from the trailer while the kitchen is repaired, extended by the week if repairs run long.5. Estimated rental cost
24ft Mobile Kitchen $4,995 + 12ft Refrigerated Trailer (Tier 1-4) $1,895 = $6,890 per month on our starting price list for a one-month emergency rental. Delivery, setup, and pickup are added in the quote. This is an estimate, not a quote.
