Past emergency
FEMA's 2024 declaration for Lycoming County
FEMA declared major disaster DR-4815, tropical storm debby, on September 11, 2024 for Lycoming County, which includes Picture Rocks, for an incident that began August 9, 2024. It is one of 8 major disaster declarations covering Lycoming County since 2000. Declared disasters like this can interrupt power, water, and road access to commercial kitchens. For a school, care home, or shelter in Picture Rocks, that means cooking outside the building in a self-contained kitchen trailer until the inspection is passed.
Major construction
Road and utility work near Picture Rocks
FEMA's Public Assistance program funded "Lewis Township Road Damages" (roads and bridges, about $227,000) in Lycoming County after DR-4815, a tropical storm declared September 11, 2024; FEMA lists the project as eligible. When work like this reaches Picture Rocks, a kitchen can lose water or power for a shift or a week, and trucks may need another way in. A crew camp on a long repair job can use a mobile kitchen trailer for its meals.
Major renovation
Public building repairs near Picture Rocks
FEMA's Public Assistance program funded "Post Office / Lewis Twp Building" (buildings and equipment, about $137,000) in Lycoming County after DR-4815, a tropical storm declared September 11, 2024; FEMA lists the project as eligible. Repairs like this often include the building's kitchen or the power that feeds it. A school or senior center in Picture Rocks can keep serving from a kitchen trailer in the parking lot.

Getting equipment to Picture Rocks
Pennsylvania is in FEMA Region 3, which coordinates federal disaster support with the state's emergency management agency; locally, Lycoming County emergency management leads response. Renovation plan: a nursing home kitchen in Picture Rocks
A worked example of how we would plan temporary food service here, using Picture Rocks's own public records and our current price list. It describes what a facility like this could do, not a job we have done.
1. Situation
A 3-month project at a nursing home kitchen in Picture Rocks, upgrading the electrical service and gas lines that feed the kitchen, would leave the building without a usable kitchen from the first day of demolition.2. Trailer setup
A 24ft Mobile Kitchen, and 12ft Refrigerated Trailer (Tier 1-4), set on a level pad close to the facility's power and water connections.3. Site and delivery
Equipment would travel the I-76 corridor, with the final route and gate access confirmed with the facility before dispatch. On arrival, the refrigerated unit is cold-ready in about an hour, and the kitchen trailer takes about 5 hours to connect and start up.4. Timeline
Lock in dates when the renovation contract is signed. The trailers arrive just before demolition and stay 3 months, through final inspection of the new kitchen.5. Estimated rental cost
24ft Mobile Kitchen $4,995 + 12ft Refrigerated Trailer (Tier 1-4) $1,895 = $6,890 per month on our starting price list, or about $20,670 for 3 months. Delivery, setup, and pickup are added in the quote. This is an estimate, not a quote.
